Lawar – Balinese Dishes

What is Lawar?
Balinese cuisine has many signature dishes together with babi guling and bebek betutu. One of the native dishes that each one Balinese love is lawar, with each family making lawar at special occassions such as ceremonies. Attending a wedding ceremony in Bali, foreigner may be asked “Bani ngajeng lawar?” (“Are you brave sufficient to eat lawar?”).
