When it comes search engines, google is still the king, and they are doing everything they can to maintain their lead,   in the hope of offering it’s search users better results, google engineers published blog post which indicated there were 11.8% organic search results will be affected, say it another way, there are about 12% of google search results are considered low quality by google itself. The update was initiated more than a year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, some of the keywords even ranked better than before, it’s safe to say that old way of link building is doomed.

Now what on earth is plain link building and how do people do it? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they add your links to those linking websites without context, the only updates on those websites are the new links, almost all of them are garbage, the name of link spamming sites is justified. New google algorithm most likely will punish these link spammers,  all the links on those websites will have the same fate.  

Examples will be great for explanation. It was quite some time ago, I started with this keyword, Coil Chains, it was old way of link building all the way, almost all the sites I got link from had too many links, and the worst thing is that those sites are linking sites only and had no content, not even crap content. This strategy worked in the beginning, eventually the keyword could be found on first page, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain pullers, most back links for this keyword are from articles and posts, not too many plain links have been built, the rank for this keyword is making me real happy. So contextual link wins this time, what about future? In fact the only thing matters here is content, when you create unique and quality content, not only people will love to read your stuff, so do the search engines. You probably think there are already too many blogs out there, it’s not true, there will never be too many good blogs, for instance let’s examine this one, sue havens toy , in the beginning I just post to it casually, lately I added nice stuff left and right, you probably think this site won’t rank a all, in actuality my site is ranking high for some nice search phrases. As we can see, blog marketing with great content is the way to go. If you can build a group of your own blogs, something like Binder Chains, you will have the power to push any sites up in search engines.

Bottom line is that you should create great content, share the content with people, and put your keywords in the context you’re good to go, your effort will reward you handsomely in the end. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, long term strategy is required to improve anything of significance, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, now all we have to do is to share our love for creating and sharing great content and not to worry about the ranking all the time. When publisinh articles, I prefer ezine, new article will be indexed within an hour if not minutes, popular blogs will get your post indexed as soon as you post it, let look at some aticles or posts which are published and indexed, for example Trucking Accessories, good writing, interesting content, indexed and cached, this article is a good example of article marketing. 

Last but not least, if you don’t take social media account, you’re lost. The Twitter tools is a wordpress plugin, you can install it, sign up for a twitter account and create a new application, configure your twitter tools prpperly, you should choose to post a tweet for every new post, it’s easy and really useful, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.
